Oil Technology

The Oil Technology Division deals with the teaching and research in Vegetable Oils, Fats, Paints and Surfactants.

The Oil Technology Laboratory (Hitherto referred as "The Lab") previously started testing of edible Oils and reporting to outside customers in July 2009 as per the request from FSSAI, Govt. of India. The Lab received NABL, under Ministry of Sc. & Tech. since 2013.

Now since the month of November, Oil Laboratory is reformed as "Quality Testing Laboratory", including the testing of all food items and is going for increasing the scope under NABL accreditation.

Other than testing, it also provides workshops and training programs as per the requirements of customers and instrument usage facility as per requisition.
